Nothing.
I searched for a logo.
Nothing.
I searched for any clue that would reveal what I was holding.
Still nothing.
For several minutes, I rotated it in my hands like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
The situation would have seemed ridiculous to an outside observer. There I was, standing in the middle of my hallway late at night, completely fascinated by a mysterious piece of plastic.
Yet the mystery refused to leave my mind.
The object’s unusual appearance made it difficult to connect with anything familiar. Human beings naturally try to identify patterns and assign meaning to what they see. When something doesn’t fit into a known category, curiosity often takes over.
