The object’s unusual appearance made it difficult to connect with anything familiar. Human beings naturally try to identify patterns and assign meaning to what they see. When something doesn’t fit into a known category, curiosity often takes over.
That was exactly what was happening to me.
I briefly considered whether it might belong to one of my son’s hobbies. He enjoyed technology, gaming, and creative projects. His room often contained gadgets, accessories, and various pieces of equipment that were unfamiliar to me.
Still, this item seemed especially unusual.
The more I looked at it, the more convinced I became that I needed an explanation.
After another minute of inspection, I finally decided there was only one person who could solve the mystery.
