Guillain-Barré syndrome and venous thrombosis (9/10)
Researchers have noticed an increase in the number of Guillain-Barré syndromes as well as cerebral venous thrombosis after the injection of the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Guillain-Barré syndrome is mainly characterized by muscle weakness, while venous thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot in a vein, preventing the proper circulation of blood in the body. The French NBA star, Victor Wembanyama, was affected by this last case a few months ago, having to end his season.
