“But… the note… the carton… the crying…” Rosemary stammered.
“All part of what you needed to believe,” Tina replied. “Faith doesn’t grow in comfort. It grows in uncertainty.”
Tears filled Rosemary’s eyes.
“Are you saying… this is from God?”
Tina smiled again. This time, her face seemed to glow softly.
“You prayed for 30 years. Not just for children… but for a purpose. These children are your answer.”
Rosemary fell to her knees, overwhelmed.
“But why me?” she cried. “After all the pain… the rejection… why now?”
Tina knelt in front of her.
“Because now… you are ready. Before, you wanted children to feel complete. Now, you can raise them with love, not need.”
The room became quiet. Peaceful.
