James Ransone, best known for playing Ziggy Sobotka in The Wire, one of the most acclaimed series of all time, has died at the age of 46.
According to the Los Angeles medical examiner, James Ransone committed suicide.
Ransone has also starred in numerous films and series, including Prom Night, The Black Phone, Law & Order, and CSI, the miniseries Generation Kill (2008), It: Chapter 2 (2019), and Poker Face. He was married to Jamie McPhee, with whom he had two children.
McPhee paid tribute to her husband on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself and Ransone with the caption: "I've told you a thousand times that I love you and I know I will love you again. You told me, "I have to look more like you and you have to look more like me," and you were so right. »
The message added: "Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts: you, Jack and Violet. We are together forever. »
