My husband booked first-class seats for him and his mother, and then handed me three economy class tickets with the kids – so I taught him a lesson before the plane even took off.

smiled.

I didn't argue. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't do a scene in front of the kids.

I just grabbed the three economy class tickets, put them in my bag, and looked at Roger.

"You're right," I said calmly. Enjoy the flight with your mom.

He smiled smugly, convinced that he had won.

His mother even gave me a satisfied look before walking to the priority boarding line.

But there was one small detail that Roger had forgotten...

I was the one who had booked absolutely the entire trip.

While they were waiting to board, I took out my phone and dialed a number.

"Good morning, this is Laura. I need to make a small change to my booking at Hotel Bahía Azul.

The receptionist recognized my name right away.

"Sure, ma'am. How can we help you?
